Schedule automatic re-audits

Put a website on a weekly or monthly audit cadence and get the graded report by email when each run finishes.

Open in the appUpdated 2026-10-12

With a schedule, a website's audit re-runs on a fixed cadence, weekly or monthly, without anyone starting it by hand. Each finished run saves to the website's audit history like a manual run, and the graded report goes out by email to the recipients you list.

Tracking your grade over time is what makes an audit useful: a one-off audit tells you where you stand, a cadence tells you whether the work is working.

We recommend a monthly schedule as the floor for every retained client. Use weekly while a site is under active SEO work, so regressions surface inside the week they happen instead of at the monthly review.

Set up a schedule

To schedule automatic re-audits:

  1. Open the website, then Report under Site Audit, and find the Scheduled re-audits card. Only people who manage the website see it.
  2. Pick Weekly or Monthly.
  3. Enter the recipient emails, comma-separated, for whoever should get the report.
  4. Select Schedule. The schedule appears on the card with the date of its next run.

To stop scheduled runs, select the bin icon on the schedule's row, then Stop re-audits.

What a scheduled run produces

Scheduled runs are ordinary audits: they appear in the website's history and the project's latest grade updates. The email carries the grade and links to the full report.

Limits and usage

  • Cadences are weekly and monthly. A monthly schedule set up on the 31st runs on the last day of shorter months rather than skipping them.
  • A weekly schedule is about 4 runs a month.
  • Each scheduled run crawls up to 100 pages.
  • Runs start in one daily processing window, at 08:00 UTC, not at a time you pick.

If something isn't working

No email arrived. First check the website's audit history. If the run is there, only the email failed. Check the recipient spelling, then your spam folder. The card notes that email delivery needs the workspace's email set up. If the run is missing, the schedule may have been deleted or the audit itself failed. The history is the source of truth either way.

The scheduled audit failed on a heavy site. The same limits apply as manual runs. See set audit scope and page caps. A failed scheduled run doesn't cancel the schedule, and the next cadence tick runs normally.
