Your plan lives in the app, and the money mechanics live in Stripe. Open the account menu, then Settings, then Plan & credits: that pane states the plan you are on, what is left of its credits, and the plans you could move to. Checkout runs through Stripe when you subscribe, and Manage billing opens Stripe's customer portal for everything after that: card changes, invoices, plan changes and cancellation.
A new workspace has no plan until someone starts one, and starting one opens a 7-day trial of that plan against a card. Plans are per workspace.
Open the pane to start or change a plan, to take an invoice at month-end, or to check why a run was refused. The answer is usually the plan line at the top of it.
Who can manage billing?
Only workspace admins can change the plan, the card or the invoices, so Manage billing appears for them alone. A client you invited resolves to their own workspace, and the pane they open is never yours.
Change your plan, card, or invoices
To manage your subscription:
- Open the account menu, then Settings, then Plan & credits.
- To subscribe or change plan, choose the plan. Checkout opens in Stripe.
- For invoices, cards and everything else, select Manage billing to open the Stripe portal. Invoices download there as PDFs.
What the pane tells you
It reflects what Stripe says about you. An active, trialing or past-due subscription keeps the plan and its monthly credits. A subscription that ends leaves the workspace with no plan, and a paid run then asks for one. If you just paid and the pane disagrees, give the webhook a minute and reload.
Limits and usage
- Billing is per workspace. Two workspaces are two subscriptions and two credit balances.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. The checkout amount is the truth for your currency.
- Each paid invoice resets the workspace's monthly credits to the plan's allowance. Credits bought as a top-up pack are separate and last 3 months.
If something isn't working
You paid but you're still locked. Stripe confirmed, but the webhook has not landed yet. Your plan and its credits arrive the moment it does, so reload after a minute. If it persists, contact support with your receipt.
The portal shows no invoices. You opened it from the wrong workspace. The Stripe customer belongs to the workspace you opened the portal from.
Your card was declined at checkout. That conversation is with Stripe and your bank. The app only sees the outcome.
There is no Manage billing button. You are not a workspace admin, or the workspace has never had a Stripe customer, which is the case before the first checkout.
When am I charged?
Once per billing interval, per workspace. Monthly plans bill every month; the annual plan bills once a year as a single invoice. The checkout amount is what leaves your card.
What happens if my payment fails?
You keep your plan while Stripe retries the card, because a past-due subscription still carries its entitlement. Only once the subscription is canceled or unpaid does the workspace lose the plan.
Can changing my plan create a second subscription?
No. If your workspace already has a live subscription, the plan button opens Stripe's portal, which prorates the one existing subscription. A second checkout is never opened.
Do I need a separate subscription for each workspace?
Yes. The subscription, the Stripe customer and the credit balance all belong to one workspace, and a second workspace has its own of each.
