Cancelling ends the paid subscription for a workspace. You keep the plan and its credits until the end of the period you already paid for, and after that the workspace has no plan. Your data, meaning projects, audits, articles and history, stays exactly where it is.
Note that cancelling is not deleting. If you want the account and its data gone, that is deleting your account, a separate and more final action.
Cancel when you don't need next period's credits. Pausing an agency between clients is a normal reason: the workspace keeps its history, and resubscribing later picks up where you left off.
Cancel your plan
Only workspace admins can cancel.
To cancel:
- Open the account menu, then Settings, then Plan & credits.
- Select Manage billing to open the Stripe customer portal.
- Cancel there. Stripe confirms, and the subscription runs out at the end of the current period rather than stopping the moment you select it.
What happens when you cancel
After cancelling, the plan line under Plan & credits shows the subscription heading toward its end date. Until that date the plan and the period's credits keep working, because you paid for the period. After it the workspace has no plan: the history is intact, and a paid run asks for a plan before it starts.
- There is no cancellation fee, and no partial-period refunds by default. The period you started is yours to use.
- Calendar auto-writing keeps running until the period ends. After that each article it would start needs a plan, like any other paid run.
- Credits left in the balance at the end of the period are not carried past it. Top-up credits you bought keep their own 3-month life.
If something isn't working
You cancelled by mistake. Reactivate in the same Stripe portal before the period ends. The subscription resumes without a new checkout.
You cancelled but were charged again. Check which workspace the charge belongs to. Two workspaces means two subscriptions, and the other one is still live.
There is no Manage billing button. Only workspace admins see it. Ask an admin of the workspace to cancel.
You want the data gone, not just the billing. That is deleting your account. Cancelling never deletes anything.
