Plans & credits

What a credit buys, what each run costs, what is free, and where your balance and receipts live.

Open in the appUpdated 2026-10-12

Credits are the unit of paid work. Anything that calls a search data provider or an AI model spends them: an audit, an article, a page design. Reading, exporting and sharing what those runs produced costs nothing.

What each run costs

Every Run button carries its price before you start, and a receipt after it finishes. The listed prices:

Saving rank tracking keywords is free and nothing renews: you pay when you start tracking and for refreshes past the 4 included. Both devices double it. See rank tracking.

The website's AI model (Settings, Content engine, AI models) moves the price of every article. Claude Sonnet 5 + Real-Time SERP is the default at the listed price; Claude Opus 5 adds 5, GPT-5.6 Terra adds 1, and GPT-5.6 Luna or a fast draft takes 1 off. No run is ever priced below 1 credit.

On a paid plan the listed price is the estimate and the receipt is the charge: a run is metered for the work it actually did, so a long article costs more than a short one. A workspace still on free preview credits is charged the listed price instead.

What costs nothing

  • The first strategy run for a website. Re-running it later is 31 credits.
  • The content plan a strategy run builds, beyond that run's own price. Generating it again is 14 credits.
  • The on-page mapping a strategy run builds. Each later run, to cover more pages or to regenerate, is 2 credits.
  • A new workspace's first strategy, before you choose a plan. It runs as a free preview, one per workspace: the wizard shows the whole keyword map, the sitemap and both deliverables, and inside the project the Keyword Map, On-Page and Content Calendar pages show the first half of each section until you choose a plan.
  • Re-opening, exporting or sharing a report you already ran.
  • The top 100 keywords of a Domain Research lookup, and any further page of its keywords that was already loaded in the last 3 days.
  • Viewing a content score.
  • Publishing to your CMS.
  • The free tools, which need no account at all.

The plans

Base covers one website and 250 credits a month. Agency covers unlimited websites and 500 credits a month pooled across every site you manage, plus the branded client surfaces described in where white-label stands.

Prices and what each plan includes live on the pricing page and at checkout. Those two places are the source of truth for money, so this page does not repeat them.

Where your balance lives

The credit chip in the header shows what is left on every signed-in page, with Top up beside the number. Select it to open the top-up view of your credits. A workspace with no plan sees Upgrade there instead, which opens the plan choice.

Open the account menu, then Settings, then Plan & credits for the full picture. The top states Credits remaining. The Plan, Top up and Price list tabs show your plan, the packs and the price of every action, and Credit history lists one row per run. The row names what was made and what it was charged, so a charge you did not expect can be traced to the run behind it.

Renewal, top-ups and expiry

Monthly credits renew at each reset and do not roll over. Top-ups last 3 months from purchase and are spent after your plan credits, so the ones that expire first go first.

If something isn't working

"You're out of credits." The workspace balance is spent, and the run was refused before it spent anything. The dialog offers the way forward without leaving the page: a plan if you have none, or a top-up pack beside the next plan up with a line saying which of the two is the better buy.

A run charged more than the button said. The button quotes a typical run and the receipt shows the metered figure. Open the receipt, or the row in Credit history, to see what the run did.

A run failed part-way. Failed runs are refunded. Leaving the page mid-run is not a failure: the work was already done, so that charge stands.

Your usage looks higher than your activity. Re-runs and scheduled runs each carry their own charge. Credit history lists every one with its timestamp.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Your plan's allowance is granted per billing period and resets at renewal. Top-up credits are separate and last 3 months from the day you bought them.

Can two runs started at once spend the same last credit?

It can happen. Each run is checked against the balance minus what runs already in progress are holding, but two runs started at the same instant can both pass. On a paid plan the overdraft is taken from your next month's credits.

Does each workspace have its own balance?

Yes. Credits, the plan and the invoices all belong to one workspace, and every website inside that workspace spends the same pool.
