The GoHighLevel connection publishes generated articles to a blog inside a GoHighLevel location (sub-account). Agencies running client sites on GoHighLevel get the same pipeline as WordPress users — calendar articles flow to the client's blog, as drafts by default until you switch the connection live.
What to know before you start
Connect it per client location whose website and blog live in GoHighLevel. If the client's blog is elsewhere and GoHighLevel only runs their CRM, you want the connection for the blog platform instead.
Connect GoHighLevel
To connect GoHighLevel:
- In GoHighLevel, go to
Settings→Private integrationsand create a private integration for the location, with blog scopes. Copy its token. - Note the location ID (
Settings→Business profile) and open the blog you want posts in — its ID is what the connection asks for. - In your project's
Integrationstab, choose GoHighLevel, paste the token, location ID, and blog ID, and send a test publish.
What happens after you publish
Articles appear in the location's blog as drafts — or published, once you flip the connection. The publish verifier then checks the public post URL, so a post sitting on an unpublished funnel page shows as not live rather than success.
Limits and usage
- The token is location-scoped: one connection per client location. That keeps client content strictly separated — the agency-level API can't be used to cross-post.
- GoHighLevel renders posts through its own blog theme. The connection delivers content and images, not theme styling.
If something isn't working
You get a 401 or 403 on publish. The private integration is missing blog scopes, or the token was regenerated. Update the scopes, copy the current token, and paste it again.
The post is in GoHighLevel but the URL 404s. The location's blog page isn't published on its site. Publish the blog page in the site builder — the verifier flips on its next check.
The wrong blog receives the posts. The location has multiple blogs and the connection points at another one's ID — update the blog ID.
