The on-page SEO generator writes the on-page layer for every page on your site: the meta title, meta description, and H1/H2 heading structure, each mapped to the keywords that page should target.
It has one hard rule: it builds only from keywords you've confirmed. The route refuses to run on auto-inferred keywords, because a meta title built from a guessed keyword optimizes the page for the wrong search — and you wouldn't find out until rankings told you.
When to run it
Run it after keyword confirmation, as part of the audit flow — that's where it lives. It's the step that turns your keyword research into instructions a developer or writer can apply page by page.
Generate the mapping
To generate the on-page mapping:
- Run an audit from the setup wizard → or the main analysis flow.
- Confirm your keywords when the flow presents them — this is the gate.
- Generate the on-page mapping from that flow. The output lands as a sheet linked on the run.
Note that the standalone tool page for on-page SEO doesn't carry a form: it states the confirmed-keywords requirement and links to the flow that satisfies it.
Read the sheet
Each row is one page: its URL, target keyword, proposed meta title, meta description, and heading structure. Apply them in your CMS as written, or edit first — lengths are chosen to fit search result display, so check any edits against the usual limits (about 60 characters for titles, 160 for descriptions).
Each website platform keeps these fields in a different place. To find them in yours, see Update titles and meta descriptions on your platform. It has a guide for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and six more.
Limits and usage
- Runs inside the audit flow's limits: rate limited to 5 runs per minute, and a run stops at 5 minutes.
- Covers the pages the audit crawled — see audit scope → for the caps.
- One keyword can map to several pages, but the mapping warns you when two pages compete for the same keyword rather than silently splitting it.
If something isn't working
"Confirm your keywords first." You reached the generator without confirmed keywords. Go back to the keyword step of the flow, confirm your selection, then rerun.
A page you care about is missing from the sheet. It wasn't in the audit crawl. Check that your sitemap lists it, or raise the audit scope → and rerun.
