The content calendar holds your planned articles. Each item can be written two ways: select Write on the card, or let the nightly auto-writer pick the next due item and write it unattended. Both paths produce the same article, because both run the same researched pipeline — search-results research, drafting, then revision against the content score across sweeps.
Writing happens through a job queue, not in your browser tab. You can close the tab — the job keeps advancing in the background, one step every couple of minutes, and the card updates as it moves.
When to use it
Plan in batches, then let the calendar drain: the auto-writer works through due items overnight, so mornings start with drafts to review. Click-to-write is for the item you want now.
Write from the calendar
To write an item now:
- Add the item to the calendar with its target keyword and publish date.
- Select
Writeon the card. - Check the confirmation: the article, its keyword, the cost and your balance after it. Nothing is published at this step.
- Confirm. The card moves to Writing and shows progress.
To write several at once, select the cards and choose Write all. It quotes the total cost and your balance after it before anything starts.
To let the auto-writer handle it, do nothing — the nightly scheduler selects the next due unwritten item and queues it automatically.
What the card states mean
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| To Do | Planned, not yet queued |
| Writing | A job holds it — drafting or revising |
| Done | The article finished and is attached to the item |
| Write failed | The job gave up; the card shows the error and returns to To Do |
A finished article lands with your per-website settings applied — length, sections, images, links — identical whether it was clicked or auto-written.
Limits and usage
- Articles are drafted and revised one model call at a time — a draft takes roughly a minute and a half, and each revision about the same — so a queued article completes over several minutes, not instantly.
- Each written article costs credits, auto-written or not, at your website's article price. Plans & credits has the numbers. A retry is a new charge, and a run that fails before it finishes isn't charged.
- Selecting
Writetwice on the same item doesn't queue it twice: the second press is refused while a job is in flight.
If something isn't working
A card sits on Writing for a long time. Jobs advance in sweeps, and several queued articles process in turn. If it sits for hours, open the card — a stale job is reclaimed automatically and retried.
Write failed. The card carries the reason and the item is back in To Do, so nothing is stuck. You also get an email with the reason, so an overnight failure isn't a silent one. You get one when an article is written or goes live, too.
The article finished but is missing a section you require. The quality gate refuses drafts missing a requested section (FAQ, Key Takeaways). Check that the item's settings actually request it, then rewrite.
