E-commerce SEOWriting opens to customers in October
The search each collection should win, and its title
Give every collection and product page its own search and a title to match. Paste them into your store, then see which collections to add next.
→ /collections/green-tea
One search, one page. No two of your pages compete for it.
Try it. Sample data: your plan shows your own.
1When you open your catalogue
Give each of your collection and product pages one search.
You open your store admin and the title field says what the product is called, nothing more. Each page in your plan gets a main keyword from searches shoppers really make, and no two of your pages share one.
- One main keyword per collection or product page
- Buying searches marked apart from reading ones
- Your brand name left out, since you already own it
- Page

2When two of your pages overlap
Keep your collection and your product off the same search.
You've got a collection and a product that both say green tea, and Google tends to show one and skip the other. You're told which page competes, so you keep one and give the other a search of its own.
- A warning instead of a silent split
- The page that competes, named
- Merge them, or keep one and redirect the other

3When you search for your own product
Your product titles, sized to show in full on Google.
You've searched for your own product and seen a cut-off name and a store tagline. Every page the crawl reads gets a title of about 60 characters and a description of about 160, with your current title graded beside it.
- Your new title next to the one you have now
- A grade for what's there today
- A description and an H1 for each page too

4When you update the store
You paste it in, so nothing changes behind your back.
You've heard about SEO apps that rewrite a whole catalogue overnight. You copy each title into your Shopify or BigCommerce admin yourself and tick Mark done on that page, so you always know what changed.
- One tap copies each line
- Mark done on each page as you go
- No plugin, you paste the text in

5When you plan the next collection
See which new collections your keyword list suggests.
You've wondered whether a gift set or a sampler collection is worth adding. Your plan suggests a few new pages, each tied to searches in your list. Say Not for us to any that don't fit, and Put back brings it back.
- A few new pages, not a second store
- Each one tied to searches in your list
- Not for us on anything you don't sell

6When you think about the blog
Blog post ideas now, writing from October.
You've meant to start the store blog for months. Your calendar already lists post ideas from your keyword list, each with the search it goes after. Writing them, and sending them to your Shopify or BigCommerce blog as drafts, opens in October.
- Post ideas with the search each one targets
- Shopify and BigCommerce blogs, from October
- Drafts wait in your store until you publish them

And the small stuff, handled
Big catalogues. The crawl reads 200 pages by default, and you can raise it to 500.
Links between your pages. The page to put a link on, the words to link and the page it points to.
More than one country. 94 markets, each with its own searches and numbers.
A brief for every page. Writers get what each page is for, what to cover and where to link.
Change a line in plain words. Ask for less salesy and only that line changes. Earlier versions are kept.
One plan per store. Every store you run gets its own.

Questions people ask
Does it work with Shopify and BigCommerce?
Yes, and with any store it can read. Keywords, the map and titles come from your store's pages, so the platform doesn't matter. Publishing posts to a Shopify or BigCommerce blog opens in October.
Will it change anything in my store?
No. It only reads your pages, and you paste each title in yourself. When publishing opens in October, new connections send posts as drafts, so each one waits in your admin until you publish it.
Can it write my product descriptions?
Not today. You get a title, a meta description and an H1 for each page. Super Page, which writes a whole product or collection page, opens with the other writing tools in October.
My store has thousands of products. Is every one covered?
Not in one go. The crawl reads 200 pages by default and up to 500, and the largest plan size gives up to 100 pages their own keyword. Each titles run picks up the pages the last one hadn't reached.
When can I publish blog posts to my store?
October. Shopify connects with a key from a small custom app you make in your admin, and BigCommerce with a store-level API account. After a post goes live, we open it on your storefront to check shoppers can see it.
Can I try it without signing up?
Partly. The SERP snippet preview shows how a product title looks in Google, free and with no signup. Your keyword map and titles live in a plan, and your first plan is free, no card.
