For business owners

Get your site's SEO plan before you sign a retainer

A proposal lists keyword research and a monthly price. Your free plan lists the searches and the pages, so you can see what that price should buy.

1The proposal on your desk

Know what the retainer should cover.

You've been sent a proposal that says keyword research, on-page work and content, with a monthly price and nothing specific. Run your plan the night before the call. It names the searches and pages for your own site, so you can go through the proposal line by line and ask what each part will actually cover.

  • The real searches behind keyword research
  • The pages behind on-page work
  • The missing pages behind content

The searches, with their numbers

  • seo optimisation tools33,800 searches a month · difficulty 44
  • ai writer33,100 searches a month · difficulty 63
  • seo checker6,600 searches a month · difficulty 63

2What your customers type

See what your customers type into Google.

You know your customers, but not the words they type when they need you. Your plan shows the real searches in your country, how many people make each one a month and how hard each is to win, so you're not guessing. Keep the ones that fit your business.

  • Monthly searches and difficulty on every term
  • Searches you already show up for, marked
  • Spelling variants counted once, not padded out

3The pages on your site

Know what each page on your site is for.

You've probably got a page nobody could explain, and nothing for the job people ring you about most. Every search you pick goes to one page. Where no page fits, the plan suggests one, and where two of your pages chase the same search, it tells you.

  • One main search per page
  • A warning when two of your pages compete
  • A new page suggested where nothing on your site fits

4The business down the road

See who shows up when your customers search.

You know your rivals in town. Online it can be a different list. Your plan shows the sites that rank for your searches, with their numbers next to yours, and you untick any that aren't real rivals.

  • Your own site in the same table, so you see where you stand
  • Directories and job boards flagged, so they don't skew your list
  • Untick anyone who isn't a real rival

5When they ask ChatGPT

See the questions your customers ask AI.

Some of your customers now ask ChatGPT instead of Google, in full sentences like they'd ask a friend. From the searches you pick, the plan writes those questions and ties each one to a page on your site. The free plan shows all the AI questions mapped to your pages.

  • Questions for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode
  • Each question tied to a page on your site
  • Remove any that don't sound like your customers

6Deciding who does it

Do the work yourself, or hand the plan to someone else.

Once you've read it, the plan is yours to act on. Do the work yourself, sit down with your web person, or take it to the agency and ask them to quote against it. Page titles and a content calendar come with a paid plan, and a new account gets them free for its first 7 days.

  • Your site map, with the pages to build marked
  • Saved to your account, so you can come back to it
  • No contract, and no card for the free plan

And the small stuff, handled

  • What you don't sell stays out. Tell it what you don't offer and nothing gets planned for it.

  • Runs while you're away. Close the tab and the research keeps going.

  • Up to five countries. Each one is researched on its own, with its own numbers.

  • No padded lists. Spelling variants of one search count once, marked +N variants.

  • Run it again. Changed your description or your country? Re-run the analysis.

  • Nothing changes on your site. The plan reads your pages. It never edits them.

Questions owners ask

Is it really free?

Yes. Your first plan is free, with no card. It covers the research, your searches, your competitors, the page for each search and every AI question mapped to your pages. A new account also gets a 7-day free trial, with no card, that adds page titles and the content calendar. After that they need a paid plan. Nothing re-runs when you upgrade.

How long does it take?

About six to eight minutes. Setup is seven short screens, mostly checking what we filled in from your homepage. The research takes three to five minutes more, and it keeps going if you close the tab.

Do I need to know SEO?

No. Setup drafts your answers from your homepage and you correct what's wrong. Every search comes with how many people make it each month and a difficulty score from 0 to 100.

Does it check what's broken on my site?

Not yet. The graded audit, which scores your site from A+ to F and puts the fixes in order, opens to customers in October. Until then your plan covers searches, pages, competitors and AI questions.

Will it get me to the top of Google?

Nobody can promise that, and we don't. The plan shows which searches are worth going after and which page should win each one. Doing the work is what moves you.

I already have an agency. Is this still useful?

Yes. Take the plan to them and ask what they'll do about each part. If their proposal never mentions your searches or the pages you're missing, that's worth asking about.

Read the plan before you sign the proposal.
